simiono
I am Uwe. I do stuff. Sometimes it works.
This is where I put some of it: things I made, things I tried, things I noticed, and things I keep coming back to.
The finished thing is nice when it happens. The process is usually more useful.
Trust and improve the process.
Latest changes
- Void Crawler: added the deployed browser build at simiono.com/void-crawler and a note on the 100-level roguelite spine.
- Gantry: updated for the current release-candidate/adoption phase, image-art import modes, plot metrics, and the future download page.
- Accidental Overlord: added a short note for the playable greybox now living at simiono.com/overlord.
- Making contact sheets: added the darkroom baseline for real contact sheets, with the Durst 138 setup and fixer-tray sheet.

- Web Games Arcade: updated for Circuit Chase, Starfall Armada extras, and the current eight-game arcade.
- PPCT: added the HEMA 2 mm marker test. Useful on big marks, messy exactly where a thick pen should be messy.
- VHS: rewritten as a study of handwriting variation, kerning, and the places where letters meet.
- Ductus: the calligraphy practice app now also lives at simiono.com/ductus. It scores movement rather than just the final shape.

A lot of the current public material is still software-heavy. That is okay for now. It is what was easiest to document first.
